Job Description:

bottom line profits through professional, coordinated, and cost
effective marketing and sales promotion
efforts.Duties/Responsibilities:Primarily within an assigned
product portfolio and may assist with other product lines within
the department. Product portfolios may change as company needs,
market conditions, and opportunities change.Introduce new products,
new lines, new vendors, and change vendors as needed to increase
sales and profitability.Work cooperatively with vendors to improve
their products and product performance within our markets.Negotiate
prices and terms with vendors including exclusivity arrangements
and cooperative efforts when appropriate.Establish standard and, if
necessary, deviated pricing to maximize profitability.Communicate
required price information to departments.Analyze sales and other
reports to:Allocate personal and company resources.Improve line,
vendor, and/or product performance.Identify trends and techniques
to apply elsewhere.Discover and solve sales and marketing concerns
and potential concerns such as lost customers or declining
sales.Communicate analysis results to other team members and, when
appropriate, other departments and/or vendors.Stay in touch with
current, and try to predict future needs of our markets.Understand
technologies and processes utilized by our markets.Work with other
Marketing/Products Team members as well as appropriate the
marketing/support department and vendor personnel to select and
execute a promotional strategy utilizing:Make national account,
territory account, and cold calls.Work with vendors to sell
targeted accounts, put together price deals, and encourage their
field representatives to work with ours.Negotiate cooperative cost
sharing programs with vendors whenever appropriate.Analyze results
of selected promotional strategy for cost effectiveness and future
selection criteria.Direct duties of Product Administrator in your
selected product line.Other duties as assigned.Required Education
and Experience:Education: High school degree or equivalent
requiredPreferred Education and Experience:Education:
Post-secondary education or major coursework in business,
marketing, or sales; or equivalent relative experience.Experience:
2+ years experience in distribution or related business.Knowledge
of industry products and customers.Physical Requirements:The
physical demands described here are representative of those that
