Overview St. Luke's Magic Valley Anesthesia Associates seeks a Certified Nurse Anesthetist to join a busy and collegial team. The CRNA is responsible for providing quality health care under the supervision of a designated physician. Responsibilities * Provide care through diagnosis, clinical judgment and management to restore, maintain, and improve the health status in accordance with practice policies and scope of practice.* Perform history and physical exams, acute and episodic care, orders pertinent lab and diagnostic studies with interpretation and consultation. Work in collaboration with other members of the health care team in the best interest of the patient.* Determine appropriate activity restrictions, if indicated.* Provide health education, counseling, and training to patients, clients, and others as requested and needed.* Establish and document health care plan and prognosis, maintaining records of each case that are sufficiently complete for any healthcare professional to evaluate and follow treatment plan and subsequent outcome(s).* Maintain confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family.* Interact with patients/families with a variety of developmental and socio-cultural backgrounds.* Provide information to patients and families to reduce anxiety and convey an attitude of acceptance, sensitivity, and caring. Qualifications * Graduation from a school with current licensure from Idaho to practice as a CRNA.* Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for job title and the unit/area(s) of assignment. * Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression. * Ability and willingness to work with patients' growth and development needs particularly related to the age of patients in the unit/area(s) of assignment. * Ability to manage a chaotic work environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
