embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication,
essential for providing specialized care to patients. Our busy
16-bay emergency department with patient ratios of 1:4 and 1:6 in
our fast-track area offers the opportunity to learn at a hospital
that sees a lot of trauma cases! How you'll contribute A Registered
Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: - Prioritizes and organizes
delivery of nursing care, accepting a variety of assignments and
consulting with other disciplines as appropriate. - Performs plan
of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen
collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care
treatment. - Assists in staff development activities, including
orienting, instructing and training others, emphasizing
departmental, as well as interdepartmental cooperation and
teamwork. - Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and
privacy and expresses interest in their progress and aids patients
and families as needed in times of stress or crisis. - Relative to
the patient age group(s) served: demonstrates knowledge of normal
growth and development stages, assesses and interprets
population-specific data, possesses the necessary skills/knowledge
to perform treatments. possesses knowledge of appropriate community
resources, involves family and/or significant other in plan of
care. - Assists patients with performing activities of daily
living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and
ambulation. - Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition
as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. -
Documents patient care given. - Collaborates as needed across
disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer,
discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. -
Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides
patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition,
and circumstances. - Works as an advocate for the physical and
emotional well-being of the patient. - Maintains a safe,
comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and their
families. - Assesses and documents patient's knowledge level and
response to individualized patient education activities. Why join

Current state RN license - Associate's degree from an accredited
nursing school. - Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of
hire. - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90-days of
hire. - TNCC within 6 months of hire. More about Northeastern
