Details - Works in a 23-bed Acute Care Services unit encompassing Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics - Patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients - Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD, CHF, pre/post cath lab, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, and acute respiratory failure (adult and pediatric) - Patient ratio is 1:5 - Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts - 36 hours per week - Every other weekend required - Floating to other departments possible based on patient census and staffing needs - Equipment used includes Omnicell Medication Dispenser, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system - EMR: MEDHOST - 13-week contract Requirements - Active NV RN license required - Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required - Minimum 1 year of RN experience required - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required - BLS required - ACLS required (up to 60 days after start date to obtain) - PALS required (up to 90 days after start date to obtain) - RQI certifications are not accepted - Med/Surg and telemetry experience preferred - Social Security Number required for consideration - Date of birth required for consideration - Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel placement Additional Information - Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months - Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment - Fit testing is provided on-site for travelers - Weekly orientations are available - No mandatory scrub color — any color scrubs are acceptable - COVID vaccination card required - Elko, NV is located approximately 3 hours from Salt Lake City and offers outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling, as well as local cultural events and casinos American Traveler Job ID P-678682.
