Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)

* Assess applicants to determine eligibility and enroll clients in educational and counseling programs * Conduct parental education programs and activities to facilitate communication with youth * Conduct life management skills training * Conduct substance abuse education and prevention programs * Identify youth and encourage their participation in team building activities, work readiness training, and mentoring programs * Counsel clients to determine employment, training, and educational services * Provide referral service to clients regarding community services available * Develop career counseling plans * Prepare records, documents, files, reports, and databases * Ability to multi task, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure * Knowledge of client evaluation, counseling, and monitoring techniques and procedures * Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records * Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices

Qualifications

* Required * High School Diploma or GED * One to two years' experience working with youth * Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting * Ability to operate standard office equipment and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications * Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance * Must pass a background check * Preferred * Associate degree in social services, counseling or related field * Negotiation and mediation skills

Required Physical Demands

* Is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms * Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
