Job Description:

Journeys DDA's Children's Program is looking for an individual who loves working with children who have developmental disabilities.This position is an overnight position working one on one with children between the ages of 3 to 21 who have developmental disabilities, functional, or behavioral needs. A lot of these children are trying to get back into their normal lifestyle by managing their emotions and behaviors.You will participate in community activities with each client to help them be as independent as they are able to be. These activities range from sports practice, games, crafts, and other age and developmentally appropriate activities. General Responsibilities Ensure a safe environment for the children you work with Comply with state regulations, company expectations for development, and participant preferences Meet qualifications for specific services provided - this includes passing a background check Receive instruction on the needs of participant, and incorporated those instructions into the child's development Support and follow the direction of a supervisor Develop working relationship with other staff Problem-solve and make programmatic suggestions when appropriate Attend all trainings and supervision shifts Minimum Qualifications Pass a rule compliant Criminal History and Background Check Experience working with children with disabilities with the intention to pursue a career in the industry Meet training requirements At least 18 years or older Valid driver's license and car insuranceJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $12.00 per hourBenefits: Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Professional development assistance Referral program Vision insuranceSchedule: After school Monday to FridayApplication Question(s): Are you willing/able to pass a criminal background check?
