Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently sourcing for a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Twin Falls, Idaho.

U.S. Only: Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required .

  • Ability to work with and assist crew in hoisting material, tools, equipment, and any related work with a backhoe, fork lift, or front-end loader
  • Ability to read and interpret maps, sketches, drawings, specifications and technical manuals
  • Understands and follows oral and written instructions
  • Works independently in the absence of supervision

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Experienced in operating heavy, motorized equipment used in earth moving operations, including, but not limited to, tankers, dozers scraper, loaders, excavator, etc. and other equipment to support a variety of heavy civil construction operations.
    • Can use hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.
    • Can perform a variety of skilled construction and maintenance tasks
    • Can perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods in unfavourable weather conditions
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing or via radio
    • Can perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to supervisor; clean equipment.

    • Ability to work 55-60 hours a week on a regular basis
    • Ability to work Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays
    • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
