  • Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements: ARRT Registry
  • Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: CVA, basic chest abdomen pelvis, traumas, cardiac aiding studies - rarely, pediatrics, special needs patients.
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Travelers must have 1 CT travel assignment. Personality fit is VERY important.
  • EMR &/or PACS they use: EPIC, McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS
  • Department Specific Equipment: Siemens (backup scanner is Toshiba). Strongly prefer this experience.

    • Experience with Siemens equipment preferably, backup scanner Toshiba
    • Must have completed at least 1 CT travel assignment
    • Ability to start IVs is preferred
      • Schedule Information
      • Majority are 10 hour shifts: tech overlap in am 6am, 7 or 8 am, 830.
      • 3 CT techs and a CNA on until the afternoon. 730-8 for days.
      • Night shift only alone from 330-600am.
      • Weekend Requirements: 12 hour shifts, depending on the needs, contract dependent.
      • Less seasoned staff on weekends.
      • Holiday Requirements: Typically not needed, RTO to be disclosed during interview.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit: CT Scan Magic Valley Hospital Flr 2
        • Usually use 2 of 3 CT scanners available
        • Will cover entire hospital, ER and outpatients, no IR procedures
        • Average number of scans/studies per day: Each tech to average 10-15 per shift, fluctuates
        • No Registered Radiology Assistants used
        • Radiologist in-house during the day, use direct radiology and their PACS from 10p-630 am
          • Additional Details
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Caribbean Blue
          • Are scrubs provided: Yes up to 3 shifts of unit/department specific orientation
          • A seasoned tech working most shifts
