Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Additional Notes - Radius Rule: 50 miles (must be adhered to for eligibility) Skills and Experience Requirements - Travel Experience: Required - Experience Level: 2 years of OR RN experience - Scrubbing Required: No Unit Notes Department: OR | RN Unit: Surgical Services Flr 2 - OR RN Number of Suites: 10 ORs; 8 rooms run per day Average Number of Cases/Day: 30–40 Certifications Required - BLS - ACLS - RN ID/Compact license - Covid Card - Supervisior reference Common Case Types - Patient Demographics: Pediatric to geriatric - Orthopedics: Total joints, ORIF, arthroscopies, foot and ankle - Ortho Spine: Typically not assigned to travelers - General Surgery: Robotics, appendectomies, cholecystectomies - Urology: Ureteroscopies, cystoscopies, robotic prostatectomies - GYN: Robotics, hysterectomies, hysteroscopies, laparoscopic tubal ligations, A&P repairs, D&C - Vascular: Fistula creations and declots, endovascular iliac/aortic stents, carotid endarterectomies, TCARs - Spine: Laminectomies, thoracic/lumbar/cervical fusions - Podiatry - ENT: Navigated FESS, thyroidectomies, parathyroidectomies, septoplasties, radical neck dissections, T&As, ear tubes (peds) Staffing and Support - Charge RN on Shift: Yes (Day shift only) - OR Techs: CSTs and Orderlies (handle room cleaning between cases) Technology and Systems - EMR: EPIC Shifts and Scheduling - Schedules Offered: - 4x10hr shifts (06:30–17:00) - 3x12hr shifts (06:30–19:00) Call Requirements - Weeknight Call: - Required for PTO coverage - One staffed crew at night - 12-hour call shifts - Weekend Call: - Second call crew during the day (07:00–19:00) - Weekend night call to cover PTO - Typically 1–2 shifts every 6 weeks - Holiday Call: Assigned as needed - Call Response Time: 30 minutes Floating Requirements - Required to float to Surgery Center across the parking lot from the main hospital Dress Code - Scrubs: Blue scrubs provided - Footwear: OR shoes required or shoe covers - Eye Protection: Required (prefer staff bring their own) Orientation - 1 week of unit-specific orientation with Unit-Based Educator About Talent4Health A leader and innovator, offering comprehensive talent solutions for the healthcare industry across the nation.
